At their recent Masterclass fundraising event at the Cutlers’ Hall, Macmillan Friends received a cheque for £3,000 presented by Anne Batty, on behalf of 600 healthcare professionals throughout the UK.

Anne Batty presented the cheque to Tony Gregory, Chair of Macmillan Friends.  In her capacity as Business Development Manager for Prospect Diagnostics Ltd, Viking Court, Dronfield, Anne motivated by close personal experience, had coordinated an initiative to raise funds in support of Macmillan nurses.  £5.00 was pledged by the company (www.prospectdiagnostics.co.uk) over a period of time for each location in receipt of a presentation of the benefits of HemoCue technology (www.hemocue.com) – laboratory quality analysis of Haemoglobin, glucose and microalbumin, three vital tests in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes.
